Function of Rubber Ducks

The primal function of a rubber duck is being a children's toy, however, through the years it became much more: a collecting object, bathroom decoration object and an object with iconic status.

Rubber duck is one of the most popular and desired children's toys predominantly used while bathing. The majority of parents wants to provide their children as much of enjoyment and entertainment as possible also while bathing. Since all children are not equally thrilled over bathing and washing a small, floating rubber duck can be very helpful by persuading kids to bath and to keep them occupied while bathing. Thus rubber ducks are highly appreciated by all parents whose kids do not like to bath.

However, like many other things which are primarily intended for kids, rubber ducks have also their fans among the “bigger kids”. Many adults consider rubber ducks cute and keeps them in their bathrooms among who are even those who do not have kids. However, in contrary with children who likes to play with rubber ducks the adults are keeping them in their bathrooms as a decoration object (or at less they should). The British tabloid newspaper published in 2001 that even the British Queen Elizabeth II has one rubber duck in her bathroom. However, besides as ornamentation of the bathroom many grown-ups probably like to keep the rubber ducks in their bathrooms because they associate them on their childhoods.

However, because there are so many variations of rubber ducks on the market some find it hard to pick just one or two, while some rubber ducks enthusiasts who are collect them have to have a special room for storing their collections.
